Salkantay Trek 4 Days to Machu Picchu

Salkantay trek 4 days is one of the best and unique hikes is Salkantay Trek Adventure 4D/3N to Machu Picchu as your Alternative option. This trek is full of beautiful landscapes as you hike from Glacier to the tropical jungle. Throughout your hike, you will observe the gorgeous glacial Humantay Lake, waterfalls, and hike through the Peruvian cloud forest.

The air you breathe will be pure and fresh as you are up at approximately 4,600m/15,000ft. You’ll have the opportunity to see coffee plantations and taste Peru’s renowned coffee. A definite must for Coffee lovers! As you reach the jungle area of the hike you’ll have the opportunity to taste fresh fruits grown there. Fruits such as bananas, pineapple, avocados, and much more can be tasted here.

Tour Leaders Peru

Adventure manages small groups and gives you a personalized tour. We hike unique trails not traveled by other tour operators. You will have the opportunity to go at your own pace and take as many pictures as you desire. Your tour leader will share their knowledge about the history of the area. The natural flora and fauna you observe while on the trek is a beautiful sight to appreciate.

You need to be in good physical condition to hike this trail and you should definitely acclimatize to the altitude ( about 80 miles in total and the altitude is no joke ). Other tour operators sell this tour package as if it was an average walk in the park. Know that it is not. Bear in mind that in this trek an emergency horse is included for you in case you get too tired and need some rest.

{I have always wanted to see Machu Picchu and when the opportunity came, I didn’t want to pass. My friends and I did the Salkantay Trek with Odon as our main guide and he was just so passionate about telling us the history and the culture behind Machu Picchu. Odon took care of us like we were his children haha, he helped us adjust or feel better with altitude sickness.

Healthy Organic Gourmet meals in all of your Salkantay Trek To Machu Picchu?

Daily Seasonal Food on each trip and Tours

Peruvian cuisine has only recently exploded onto the international culinary stage, but Peruvians have always been crazy about their nation’s culinary heritage, and they steadfastly cling to the traditional, multiculti flavors of home. Even in the face of modern gastronomic innovation. A range of climates, from high altitude to low, offers an impressive diversity of produce. Yes, that means potatoes over 3800 kinds but also a variety of corn and other grains, to say nothing of the country’s native aji chilies that are often puréed into sauces.

Coffee, Tea, Water, & Assorted Beverages

Every morning and afternoon, before and after your daily hikes you will find hot drinks and snacks in your dining tent.
