  • You cannot get access for February because the Inca trail is closed this month.
  • The availability of spots for the trek can vary and they are quickly sold out. If the permits for the Inca Trail are finished and no longer available, no agency can obtain one for you. Only the Ministry of Culture has the authority to manage the Inca Trail trek permits.
  • Only 500 permits are allowed in one day Including Inca Trail Porters and Tour Leaders.
  • Even if tickets are canceled and spots become available, purchasing those spots or transferring them is not allowed.
  • Is it possible to purchase the Inca Trail Permit from any official website? The answer is no. However, they can offer you comprehensive hiking equipment, professional tour guides, and even assistance from porters.
  • There is no official site that can offer you Inca Trail admission tickets.
  • Travelers can easily inquire about the availability of Inca Trail trek permits from authorized travel agencies.

The timing of discounts and sales on trek permits for tourists is entirely at the discretion of the Peruvian Ministry of Culture.

How many Months before you have to book your Inca Trail trek Permit?

For those planning to embark on this adventure in May, June, or July, reserving your hiking permit and spots even earlier, around 7 to 8 months ahead, is highly advisable.

If you’re eager to experience the breathtaking Inca trails from January to April (excluding February when they’re closed), it’s crucial to secure your Permit well in advance. Booking 1 or 2 months beforehand ensures you won’t miss out on this incredible adventure.

Looking to embark on the Inca trail hike in May and June? These months mark the peak tourist season, making it all the more important to book your spots and obtain your trek permit as soon as vacancies become available. Trust us, these slots sell out quickly!

For those planning a visit to the Inca trails in July and August, it’s highly recommended to book a whopping five months in advance to secure your preferred dates.

As for September to December plans, it’s advisable to make your bookings 3 to 4 months ahead of time to guarantee your spot on this unforgettable journey. Get ready for an incredible experience!

You need to get the Inca Trail trek Permit from an authorized Tour Operator. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to enter. You will have to give the entire details of your passport to them.
