Your arrival at the hotel will be around mid-day, giving you the rest of the day to relax and explore at your leisure. Given that Cusco is situated at an elevation of 11,300 feet, it's advisable to take things slowly on your first day to acclimate to the altitude.

However, this is an ideal opportunity to take a stroll around the main square, visit its numerous coffee shops and stores, or perhaps explore a local museum. Cusco also boasts an array of casual and fine dining options, ready to satisfy any culinary curiosity.

Important Tips:

The distances are approximate and can vary slightly depending on the specific route and campsite availability.

Altitude can be a factor, especially on the second day when reaching Dead Woman's Pass, so acclimatization in Cusco is essential.

The trek requires a permit, and it's advisable to book well in advance due to limited availability.
Ensure you have proper gear, including comfortable hiking boots, a backpack, and clothing suitable for a variety of weather conditions.
Respect the environment and follow Leave No Trace principles.
